Yesterday Wattpad took away the newsfeed button on their site and app. Currently, you cannot filter your feed to specific types of notifications. Speaking from personal experience, I’ve found some of my favorite books on the newsfeed section of Wattpad and it makes me sad that the people like me who don’t have as many followers as We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us. The newsfeed option was a great way for new or underrated authors to get noticed and for people to discover hidden talented people. Wattpad bans so much content, granted it’s mostly dark fic stuff so anyone writing genfic or vanilla ship content likely wouldn’t notice the strict rules, but as someone who makes mostly “problematic” content Ao3 is the ONLY fanfic website that will have me, lol.
