The only Adcom pre-amp worth anything is the GFP-750 but it's pricey. I've got a couple of them along with the original GFP-555 and they do everything very well IMO. This preamp is for somewhat budget-minded audiophiles who are looking for a time-tested, well-made stereo preamp that can switch inputs, control volume and not color their sound in any audible way.
